Here are a few favorites from a fun shoot for the Green Girl Bakeshop website. Lisa Stoy, the owner, founder, and maker creates some incredibly delicious gluten-free, dairy free ice cream sandwiches and ice creams. There’s nothing artificial in her products. Using ingredients like coconut milk and oil, maple syrup, cashews and brown rice flour, everything’s simple and organic. Visit her at local East Bay farmers markets: Montclair Village Oakland or Kensington Market on Sundays, and Berkeley Market (Adeline Street) on Tuesdays.

It’s always a shock to go from the arctic summer weather of San Francisco to the heat of anywhere else, but not too long ago I was lucky enough to escape to Sonoma for the first annual Huge Bear Picnic! The start of a tradition involved celebrating with bold, refreshing Huge Bear Wine and a dinner featuring homegrown tomatoes, vegetables and berry cobbler.
