Anderson Valley is a three-hour trip from San Francisco and is known more for its rugged beauty and as a “pot growing paradise”. Who knew it is the new spot for pinot noir? I went out there recently for the Wall Street Journal and photographed rising stars in the pinot world: Jason and Molly Drew of Drew Family Cellars and Wells Guthrie of Copain Wines. I’m excited to return soon to photograph Jason Drew’s 26 acre vineyard in May.
